Rubin began his career in New York practicing commercial bankruptcy law, and later transitioned to Georgia, where he helped build and manage a successful national default practice for mortgage banking clientele. Raymond T. Lyons was appointed as a bankruptcy judge for the District of New Jersey in April 1999. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Lyons was a partner in Connell, Foley & Geiser LLP of Roseland, N.J. Judge Lyons received his bachelor's degree with a major in mathematics from Lehigh University in 1970 and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1973.
